Generic 4 Ply -This is Generic 4 Ply Raglans for Beginners by Alles Hutchinson.  Wonderful book for beginners.  In 21 sizes from 6 months through size 50.  This is called generic because these patterns can be used on ANY knitting machine which can obtain the gauge of 5 sts and 7 rows = 1".  You can obtain this every other needle on your standard gauge machines also, depending on the yarn that you use. How To Do Shadow pleating: This is How to Do Shadow Pleating. This is a great technique with some gorgeous results. You can apply this to many different kinds of knits. It is a good way to use up some of that thin yarn that you didn't know what to do with. This is such a easy technique, and capable of producing a very rewarding appearance that causes people to ask how you did it.
You can use this technique on any machine. There are also directions included for smocked shadow pleating with a pattern for a skirt. There is a vest pattern included for shadow pleating, smocked shadow pleating purse, shadow pleats on the bulky with a vest pattern for the bulky also.

How to do plating: This is How to Do Plating on Your Knitting Machine. This was previously published by Alles Hutchinson. This six page leaflet will show you how to knit some wonderful techniques.
Plating is alot easier then you think. This booklet tells you how to do it. Plating makes a gorgeous knit. I love sweaters in this technique. It makes a reversible fabric. Alles includes a method to plate on any knitting machine even if your machines does not have the special plating feeder. There are pictures of plating feeders for Brother, Knitking, Singer, Studio (including the ribbers) and also for the Toyota 901 and 950. The pictures show the location and threading of the plating feeders. 
It shows the alternate methods (for non-plating machines) for the Studio models 321-323, the Juki 1200, Juki 2400, and the Toyota 727 through 787.
